Alaska by Sea > Overview

Much of Alaska's beauty can be found along its grand coastline, and only Princess takes you there aboard the newest, state-of-the-art cruise ships. All you have to do is decide which one of our three itineraries best suits your interests, and then sit back and let our expert staff do the rest.

VOYAGE OF THE GLACIERS is a seven-day cruise through some of Alaska's most amazing sites, including splendid Glacier Bay and College Fjord. All of the top cruise attractions are on this voyage, which sails between Vancouver, B.C., and Whittier, gateway to Anchorage.

Our luxurious ships are specially designed to make the most of your Alaskan adventure, with more affordable staterooms with private balconies that offer views of the magnificent glaciers, fjords and wildlife.

Travel aboard our Dawn Princess or Sun Princess and you'll enjoy the wraparound promenade decks and floor-to-ceiling windows. Or, experience the latest in cruise technology and comfort aboard the Island Princess and Coral Princess. These modern marvels redefine luxury, and friendly, experienced members of the Princess family staff all of our ships.

While in Glacier Bay, rangers from the National Park Service will board the ship to serve as tour guides and answer questions about this most intriguing national treasure.

Rangers also lead our Junior Ranger and Teen Explorer programs in Glacier Bay, which teach kids about the wildlife and scenery in a fun and entertaining way.

All of our cruises feature signature Alaskan cuisine and our exclusive Personal Choice Dining. Only Princess offers you both Traditional Fixed Seating and Anytime Dining, which allows you to dine when, where and with whom you choose.

Meet Libby Riddles, the first woman to win the Iditarod sled dog race, when she boards the ship in Juneau to share stories of her inspirational quest. And in Ketchikan, a U.S. Forest Service naturalist will present a program about largest forest in the country, the Tongass.

INSIDE PASSAGE cruises offer exploration of historic Alaskan towns like Skagway and Ketchikan as well as glacier cruising into glorious Tracy Arm. Choose a seven-day roundtrip voyage from Seattle aboard brand new sister ships, Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess with countless outside staterooms, or a 10-day roundtrip cruise from San Francisco aboard the Regal Princess.

You’ll enjoy an incredible array of onboard activities from our Scholarship@Sea life enhancement lectures to our Lotus Spa, plus a multitude of evening entertainment options. Due to our revolutionary ship design, you can enjoy all that our five-star floating resorts offer without ever feeling lost in a crowd. And all of our ships offer a variety of dining venues as well as complimentary 24-hour room service.
